Amazing beachfront cabañas, clean and stylish. Loved hanging out at the spaceous terrace! This part of the Chacahua beach is super relaxed and quiet at night, but close enough to walk to the center. We had a great time staying at Caracol and would absolutely recommend it.
Great spot right on the beach with lots of privacy. Super nice new cabanas. Not too far from the surf or town. Also very friendly owners that can speak English and Spanish. Highly recommend!
Stayed in April 2024: Stop! If you found this place look no further as it is an absolute gem with beautiful cabañas directly at the beach. We had the private cabaña in the first row including a private terrace and it was absolutely worth the money. You always get a nice breeze on the terrace so it's nice to hang out in the hammock when it gets too hot on the beach and the view is incredible. The room itself is perfect with a huge and very comfortable mattress and with a mosquito net installed you can sleep in peace. The only thing you'll hear at night are the waves breaking in the beach and you can see the most stunning sunrise when you open the window and get back to bed. The hotel has just opened and more cabañas and other facilities are planned/in the making but there was 0,0 limitation (neither view nor noise) for us as the cabañas in the first rows are already finished. Walking on the beach for sunrise is even more magical. The walk to the town is 10-15 minutes on the beach and also safe to walk back at night. Just make sure you have a flashlight as there are no lights on the beach and you might want to use insect repellent depending on the season. Nathan is an incredible host, always responsive and also helped with setting up tours (book directly with him if you want a fishing tour or bioluminescent tour) he goes above and beyond! Will come back anytime.
We wished we stayed longer. Serenity and simplicity in this place, location is perfect. Not too far from town and 15-20 mins walk over the beach to the little town. A more equipped kitchen would be nice and some extra’s in the room like a bath mat will make it better. Will definitely come back
It’s difficult to describe the splendor that is Chacahua, and pictures really don’t do it justice. It must be visited to be experienced! And if you are looking for lodging in Chacahua on a very private section of the beach, still close to the town’s restaurants, surf schools etc - Casa Caracol is where to stay! It shocked us that most of the time we were alone on our morning and evening meditations on the beach, and ocean swims outside the cabana. It made the experience all the more spectacular, and often my partner and I would just sit in quiet watching the waves and clouds, totally in awe. The ocean is an amazing emerald color and the sunsets unlike any other place I’ve been. You are staying right by the ocean, and the sound of the waves drift you into sleep. The bed was very comfortable and all in all I had terrific nights of sleep. We stayed in a cabana with a deck, which I really recommend. The deck is furnished with a hammock, some chairs and a table. Some nights we just laid in the hammock together (taking turns getting the side with the view, of course), watching the sky and the ocean until dark. The table allows for space to make guac and mixing drinks. Just don’t forget the mosquito spray when staying outside after dark! Our host, Nathan, was very helpful with tips on what to do (don’t miss Friday pizza night in town!) and to resolve any issues that came up. We can’t wait to be back!
One of the best places I’ve ever lived. Was fortunate to stay here for 4 months and I am truly grateful for the experience. Such an epic spot on a truly magic island.
This place was more than amazing. Actually, was our favourite place during our trip in Mexico. We really relaxed here. The views are magnificent,it's really calm, and it's only 15 min walking on the beach from the village where you can find surfing, shops and restaurant. The owner was really helpful. Highly recomend
